Honest answer - the post pretty much gives all the various reasons for the post. Forums are filled with posts about people's experiences in Eve, from first ganks, to adventures in 0.0, to funniest moments. So, there you go. My experiences just happen to involve some fairly hot issues now. And I thought it'd all be not olny an interesting read, but a good release of my own thoughts and perceptions to the world And, I am verbose, because I simply love to write and I love detail.

I've seen pictures of you guys doing organized raids of nothing but Gallente frigates with as many drones as possible(and they bumped, too), Goon shuttle scans showing nothing but massive amounts of BPs(and not labeled, just random things), and untold amounts of fofo'ing. You're seriously counting VCBee and Velator ops as horrible exploits? Those are just a fun way to blow of some steam, it's not like 80 Velators is any real threat. Lag has ruined our chances just as often as it's helped us, nobody enjoys huge module activation delays and your ship handling like it's in molasses. As for the fofos, that's a post-battle victory cry and always has been, has never been proven to cause real lag, and by the time it happens the fight's over and it's not going to make a difference even if it did.


What's really ridiculous about all this is that there are enough really legitimate reasons to dislike goons without resorting to all the bitterly personal exploit accusations. Putting aside whether ele is right about us being a bunch of neanderthals, yes, goons love offensive humor, yes, goons sometimes pirate, yes, goons sometimes scam. Those who don't have still thrown their lots in with the rest of us. If you don't like pirates, I understand that, and that's perfectly reasonable. But it's ridiculous that some people can't separate the game from life, which is what people are failing to do when they resort to calling us a bunch of cheats and ten year olds. You're letting your distaste bleed beyond the reasonable boundaries of the game.

Obviously, some people are going to keep coming back to the threadnaught as evidence that goons are taking things out of game, but as ele has said, that was a good faith effort (and Anille, there were ignored petitions and attempted escalations prior to it hitting the forums) to ensure that the devs were staying honest.

Just my 2 cents : I wasnt there to see it myself but when GOONs attacked Norad, poeple were saying GOONS use exploits in fights , creating lag etc.

So if everybody says it maybe there is a grain of truth in it...
